‘Cowboy Up Day’ set for Saturday in Melvern

Saddle up and come to Melvern for food and a fun Saturday. Sponsored by Melvern PRIDE, City of Melvern and local businesses, events are aimed at fun for the entire family.

Biscuits and gravy will be served at 7 a.m. at city hall. The Cowboy Olympics begin at 9:30 a.m. at the city park.

The classic car show and bike-decorating contest begins at 10 a.m. on the east side of Main Street. Smoked pulled pork sandwiches or hotdogs will be served at 11 a.m. and the silent auction begins at 11 a.m. at Melvern Community Center.

An awards ceremony will be held 12:30 p.m. at the community center, followed at 2:30 p.m. with a demolition derby east of the high school.

A street dance and beer garden will start at 8 p.m. A fee will be charged.
